Charme des Bastides is located halfway between Puycelsi and Castelnau de Montmiral. These are two of the three ‘Les Plus Beaux Villages de France’ (Most Beautiful Villages of France) in the region, which form part of the bastide route along with Cordes sur Ciel. One of the most recommended activities is to visit the many historic sites along this route. You can also go hiking or cycling in the Grésigne Forest, and families with children will enjoy visiting the Base Loisirs de La Vère-Grésigne. There are also several golf courses in the vicinity. And if you wish, you can also take the route of the vineyards of the Gaillac region, a proven designation of origin. A visit to the episcopal city of Albi. What is the bastide route?

The Bastides Route is a tourist route that takes you through several fortified medieval towns in the Occitanie region of south-western France. These bastides were mainly founded during the 13th and 14th centuries and are known for their unique architecture and rich history. The circuit usually starts in Toulouse and covers approximately 250 kilometres, making it ideal for a day trip or weekend break.

Some of the highlights include: Gaillac, L'isle sur Tarn, Castelnau de Montmiral, Puycelsi, Bruniquel, Penne, Saint Antonin-Noble-Val, Cordes sur ciel and Albi.

Le Charme des Bastides offers two rates:

Refundable rate: which can be cancelled free of charge up to 3 days in advance and with a one-night charge thereafter

Non-refundable rate: which is more economical and requires full payment at the time of booking.

What breakfast options are available?

Le Charme des Bastides offers a quality breakfast, available in four versions: a version based on fresh fruit, ideal for those following a vegan or vegetarian diet; a sweet version with pastries (croissants, brioche, toast) and jams; and two savory versions: the first is a continental breakfast with eggs and bacon, and the second with ham, various cheeses, and mountain pâté. Every day, we ask our guests to select their favorite ingredients for the next day. All breakfasts are accompanied by orange juice, coffee, tea or hot chocolate, yogurt, cereal, and fresh fruit.

Is parking available?

Le Charme des Bastides has parking on the estate itself, right in front of the guest reception. No reservation is necessary.

Is air conditioning available?

The region's climate makes the use of air conditioning during the summer unnecessary. All rooms face the outside, both the bedroom and the bathroom, so night-time ventilation is sufficient. Portable fan available.
